Ho Technical University and Japan Motors Trading Company Ltd (JMTC) on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, cemented their relationship with the opening of the HTU-Japan Motors Vehicle Service Centre at the University campus.
With this, HTU becomes an authorised partner for the servicing of Japan Motors’ traded automobiles, including Nissan and Foton vehicles.
Executive Director of JMTC, Mr. Nuohad Kalmoni together with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ben Honyenuga commissioned the Service Centre, which is the first in the Volta and Oti Regions.
The HTU-Japan Motors Vehicle Service Centre, is a partnership between the auto company and HTU aimed at “Promoting skills development and value addition through industry- academia collaboration”.
Professor Ben Q. Honyenuga, the Vice Chancellor of the University said, the commissioning of HTU-Japan Motors Vehicle Service Centre was another hallmark achievement for the institution, which serves as reference point for technical education in Ghana.
The automobile company also presented a locally assembled Nissan Pick-up vehicle to the University to facilitate training of students.
